He should also have the ability to use the research in the correct way and be able to grasp the best out of it. Misinterpretation of research at that point of time is an absolute waste of money, time and energy.

Any company’s success is all about its people. A marketing manager must be able to understand what is needed in the job down the hierarchy so that all strategies are executed efficiently and turn out to be successful. For a successful execution the marketing manager should be able to hire the right people, train them, and communicate the needs of different strategies at different point of times. If working with a separate HRM department he should be able to communicate the skills needed in the human resource of the marketing department. A succession plan is also a must. He must constantly train his subordinates to understand the market and also encourage upward communication to test them. Keeping his junior managers happy in his department is also an important role of the marketing manager.
