Taking into account the wants, needs and wishes of people with learning disabilities is often hard work, not only for the individual attempting to convey their message across, but also to the listener. It is all too often common for professionals to not have the time or patience to fully listen and act upon the demands of their clients. This can be frustrating and have a detrimental affect on the quality of life one feels, especially if they feel they are not being listened to.
